Celtics Extend NBA Finals Lead to 2-0

Mavericks Fall in Game 2 Despite Doncic's Efforts

Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum Lead Boston to Victory

The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 105-98 in Game 2 on Sunday night. Kyrie Irving led the way for the Celtics with 29 points and 7 assists, while Jayson Tatum added 28 points and 9 rebounds.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic, who finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. However, Doncic's efforts were not enough to overcome the Celtics' balanced attack.

The Celtics took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 32-20. Irving scored 10 points in the quarter, while Tatum added 8.

The Mavericks made a run in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics were able to hold on for the win. Irving hit a key jumper with 2:30 remaining to give the Celtics a 100-93 lead, and the Mavericks were never able to get closer than 5 points.

The series now shifts to Dallas for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday. The Mavericks will need to win at least one game at home to keep their hopes of winning the championship alive.
